      *   DIOCESAN YOUTH COUNCIL
            The Council is a leadership body of high school youth elected by their peers from the regions of the diocese 
            and commissioned by the Bishop. It serves to advocate and promote ministry to, by, for and with youth
            throughout the diocese of Richmond; to be a link between the youth in the parish/region and the larger
            Church; to help plan youth activities on a regional level and the annual Youth Convention; to advise the
            Bishop on matters concerning youth. They are directed in their responsibilities by Dennis Beeman, 
            Director of the Office of Christian Formation and Rev. Ken Wood, Youth Moderator.
