Professional Development
Local schools provide training programs for teachers so they remain current in educational practices and deepen their understanding of the Catholic Faith. There is a minimum of 10 professional days set aside in each school calendar to address these needs.
Diocesan training programs are also scheduled for each region or level of school (elementary or high school)
in instructional areas. The theme for the 2007-08 school year
is differentiated instruction.
Teachers Assisting Teachers
Twenty six schools have trained Teachers Assisting Teachers, or TAT Teams
to assist teachers in support of students' individual needs.
