Position: Parish/ School Financial Auditor

The Office of Finance seeks a Parish/School Financial Auditor. The selected candidate will be a chief contact with locations for compliance with established diocesan financial policies, procedures, and practices. Responsibilities include performing audits, preparing detailed reports on findings and making appropriate recommendations. The candidate will also provide training and education for parish, mission and school staff and finance councils, will serve as a liaison between parishes, missions and schools and federal or state tax authorities. As well as assist the controller with quarterly report review, parish budget review, annual report review and computation of cathedraticum assessments for each parish location. The auditor will assist the finance office with financial projects as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Qualifications: Qualifications include a minimum of a B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and CPA certificate. Experience with a CPA firm is preferred. Three years experience in accounting and auditing is required with thorough knowledge of accounting and tax reporting procedures. Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills are a must with excellent computer knowledge and time management skills.
