Position: Director, Jubilee House Retreat Center

The Diocese of Richmond seeks a full-time Retreat Director entrusted to continue and expand the ministries of Jubilee House Retreat Center, located in the beautiful highlands of southwestern Virginia on the edge of the historic town of Abingdon. The Director will be responsible for the hospitality of individuals and groups seeking a place for spiritual enrichment, developing programs in response to the needs of individuals, parish communities and other groups. The Director will also oversee the promotion/publicity; handle the financial stability and growth of the center, as well as the maintenance and operations of the facility.
The Director works with the Jubilee House Retreat Center (JHRC) Council. The Council is an ecumenical consultative body who give vision and support to the ministry of JHRC. The Council's Standing Committees support and advise the Director regarding specific areas of Jubilee House.
Qualifications: Qualifications include training and experience in retreat work; background in theology and Catholic teaching; and experience in administration and program planning. Master's degree preferred. Requirements include leadership ability, collaboration skills, good oral and written skills, commitment to working ecumenically; working knowledge with computer programs will be helpful. The selected candidate must be a Catholic in good standing who is grounded in prayer and spirituality.
