Twinning is central to the Diocese of Richmond's outreach ministry to Haiti. Each parish or institution in the Diocese of Richmond is asked to enter into a twinning relationship with a parish, school or other organization in Haiti. Through twinning, each partner has the opportunity for growth, change and the sharing of the many gifts each has to offer the other.
The Diocese of Richmond offers a wealth of experience, knowledge and resources to assist in all stages and facets of the twinning relationship. The Diocese will provide presentations to parish communities and others interested in twinning and follow through with assistance in the discernment process and selection of an appropriate Haitian twin. Once a parish or organization is twinned there are many resources and opportunities to connect with others to help begin the relationship and to continue it in a successful and mutually beneficial way.

A comprehensive Twinning Database is available on each twinning relationship between the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and Haiti to enhance communication and networking between twinning parishes. The site includes the capability of allowing web browsers to query the database. For example, information such as a list of the Richmond twins who have helped build schools in Haiti or who are involved in water projects or sustainable development projects can be accessed. http://twinninginfo.rmc.edu
