The Haitian Health Care Foundation is a 501 c3 entity working across the Diocese of Richmond Parishes, in collaboration with the heath care mission of the Diocese of Hinche in Haiti, to participate in the healing ministry of Christ among the under-served population of Haiti's Central Plateau. The Foundation works with representatives from the Diocese of Richmond Parishes and groups therein, local Haitian organizations, Medical Missionaries, and additional fund raising groups.
The Maison Fortuné Orphanage is a 501 c 3 organization which offers orphaned and impoverished children near the city of Hinche, Haiti a safe alternative to living in the streets by providing food, shelter, clothing, and an education, in a loving Christian environment. It was founded in February of 2000 by a young Haitian man named Lefort Jean-Louis. A primary goal of the Maison Fortuné Orphanage is not to just provide for the children now, but to teach them to one day be able to provide for themselves and their future families and to give something back to the community.
The Haitian Education Fund is made up a board working to promote and sustain the education of the teachers and children of Hinche, Haiti. It works in collaboration with partners including the Diocese of Hinche and the parishes participating in the twinning program of the Diocese of Richmond. The vision of the board is to achieve an educational system through partners, primarily in the Diocese of Hinche, that will prepare children to meet the political, economic, social and spiritual challenges of the future, ultimately improving the societal conditions and the level of human dignity of those living in Haiti.
