Amnesty International USA
They have
an excellent kit for
“Faith
in Action Against the Death Penalty” which is done in October. The kit is
free. Look for these resources on the right hand side of the page. It is also
downloadable.
Disclaimer: We are very
sorry about the stance that Amnesty International has taken on abortion.
We offer this link to their materials about the death penalty because they
present many valuable arguments about the death penalty. Our basic stance
in our Catholic faith is that we are against the death penalty because we are
consistently pro-life and the death penalty is a violation of the dignity of the
person.

There are
many fact sheets available on this website, but of great interest is the youth

the death penalty.

Stations of
the Cross and the Death Penalty
These stations are meditations on Jesus' way of the cross with prayer
reflections, and connections drawn to capital punishment today. Stations were
written for a Cleveland group, Catholic Students for Justice and Peace who
embarked on a 160 mile bike trip to witness against the death penalty. You will
also need the printing
directions for the booklet.
The resource comes from the
Education for
Justice website. The website is a subscription service, but well worth
the investment. |
