Grant Process
The annual Bishop's Appeal provides supplemental financial assistance to institutions, programs and ministries of the Catholic Church across the Diocese of Richmond. Again in 2008, distributions from the Bishop's Appeal will be handled through a grant application process.
Incorporated into the Grant Process this year will be requests for parishes that
wish to be included in the Mission Co-Op. Those parishes who wish to be
paired with other parishes to appeal for assistance, should complete items one
through six on the Grant Application Form. Catholic entities affiliated with the Diocese of Richmond may apply for funding
from the Bishop's Appeal as long as their need is appropriate to the Appeal Case Statements and they satisfy additional criteria, which can be found in the Application Guidelines.
The deadline for applying for Bishop's Appeal Grants, as well
as Mission Co-Op assignments, is April 11, 2008. The links below may be used to review and obtain the 2008 Guidelines and Application Form. Further questions can be directed to the Office of Development at (804) 359-5661 or emailed to
