Grant Process

The annual Bishop's Appeal provides supplemental financial assistance to institutions, programs and ministries of the Catholic Church across the Diocese of Richmond. Distributions from the Bishop's Appeal are handled through a formal grant application process, conducted by the Bishop’s Appeal Grant Review Committee. 

Catholic entities affiliated with the Diocese of Richmond may apply for funding from the Bishop's Appeal as long as their need is appropriate to the Appeal Case Statements and they satisfy additional criteria, which can be found in the Application Guidelines.

Note: The deadline for applications for Bishop’s Appeal grants has been extended to Friday, June 12, 2009 . The links below may be used to review and obtain the 2009 Guidelines and Application Form.
