The Bishop's Appeal is an important annual fundraising endeavor that provides supplemental financial assistance to institutions, programs and ministries of the Catholic Church throughout the Diocese of Richmond, thanks to the generosity of many good stewards. Funds from the Appeal are distributed via a grant review process to ensure alignment within pre-determined focus areas, described in our Case Statements.

Over the past three years, Bishop's Appeal grants have supported valuable work in the following categories:
Through the faithful stewardship of the people of the Diocese of Richmond, we will be able to fund valuable areas of ministry, allowing many programs to continue and flourish, while encouraging capacity building for new initiatives.
